Plucker -> Reader

Anyone thought of taking a web-clippings file like a Plucker (or iSilo) file and finding a way to convert it for use on the Reader? (And is it a decent idea?)

Thanks.

It is possible to "explode" a Plucker file into a single HTML file plus images. There is a program to do this in plucker extras, but it has never been widely advertised. So it should be relatively easy to add Plucker support to any package that currently supports HTML and uses a chain of applications to do the conversion.

The best link I can find in Plucker's e-mail archive is: Re: Different Pluck viewer?.

In addition, the wxPluckerViewer for Windows saves the pages as HTML files in its program directory, but this is hard to find. The best links are on MobileRead: Deconstructing Plucker Files and NY Times - How Remove Garbage?. The latter inlcudes links to Windows binaries. At one time I used wxPluckerViewer to preview Plucker files on a Windows machines, but now I use FBReader for this task.
