I have a collection of pdf's that when I imported into Sony's software didn't have the correct metadata. So I downloaded calibre and went through them one by one painstakingly using ISBN numbers to get it all correct. So Calibre looks like this at the moment:
Calibre screen: ![]() Folder structure: ![]() Sony reader after import file/folder: ![]() Anyone help please? It's well disappointing. |

Your calibre settings are wrong... how are you placing metadata... selected prefs to save internally? And there are many others... you need to look through your calibre preferences, it is a very powerful and useful piece of software but it does need setting up to do what you require. Much more detaied info and help from the calibre sub-forum here at MobileRead...

If you just want to change the meta data on a PDF try using BeCyPDFMetaEdit instead. It is freeware and it does a great job of changing the meta data, but that is all it does. Calibre is overkill for this job, unless you intend to convert the PDF to ePub.
