cheap ipad

i love the ipad. is there any ligit places to get a cheap ipad that is not damaged in any way? i have an android tablet now but i would like to have the smoothness of apple software

Define 'cheap'. The Apple online store sells refurbished iPads for $150 less than an equivalent ipad2. I got my ipad1 as an open box item at best buy, for around that $150 discount.

Unless you are reading this thread in 2012 when the lines are round the block for iPad 3, in which case yes, an iPad 1 on eBay.

I read yesterday that Verizon stores are selling iPad 1's for $300 'while supply lasts':
