Retail Sales in Seattle

A recent Pocketbook press release reported that a retail sales kiosk is opening in Seattle. Does anyone know where it will be located? and when?

I've been told it's already open. Try calling 1-877-3260196. It's one of Pocketbook's support numbers. The others I have are both local to KS and MO, but I've called the 877 number and it works. I actually got the CEO on that number!

I think I talked to you at the Independence center location. I see you came back in and bought the IQ. How do you like it?

I see you found us! Yes, that was likely me. I got the IQ, and liked it a lot until I put an SD card in. From that time forward, nothing has worked. None of the "buttons" on the screen work, and even if I can get to my library, I can only see how many books I have--none of the titles. I can't even turn it off without a fight. I've tried using the reset, the factory default, the Nov. 20 firmware (I got the link from tech support), and everything else anyone can suggest. I don't intend to go anywhere near a mall this weekend, so next weekend I'll likely see you or the evening guy. I hope there will be some blue ones left!

So you think it is just the one that you have that's doing that? This is the first I've heard of this issue. Did you get the one with the updated software? But ya, if you are having issues, come on in and we'll trade you out.

I'm sure it's just mine--nobody has reported it here, and the tech guy I spoke with hadn't heard of it. I got it before the first firmware upgrade was available, but I've since gotten it and tried it out with no improvement. So I think I'll be seeing you soon.

Found It!

It's a kiosk in one of the main hallways, opposite the H&M store entrance. It's roughly underneath the main Food Court, which is itself underneath the cinema. Go in the center entrance on the south side, and turn right.

By the way, their in-store sale on Pocketbook360s is $110, but will end late Friday.

Two employees, one just started but Manager was knowledgeable. Displays were standard security cables, but after talking, she brought out a unencumbered unit to see how the cover fit on. All models of pocketbooks that I've heard of were on display - the large ones sure seemed big! Manager didn't know (or wasn't going to admit knowing) about FBReader180 or other mods, and her favorite model was the 6inch one with text-to-speech. I listened for a bit, and the voice sounded better than I expected.

I might be able to go back and buy one of the 360s tomorrow.
