Need help with accessing Baen's Website

Hi,

Was wondering does anyone have a solution to the webscription website of Baen's throwing up this error?

Server Error in '/' Application.

Runtime Error

Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine. 

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. I am unable to access their website at all, and i've tried 4 browsers, IE, Chrome, Firefox, Safari on two different computers.

It's rather frustrating and its almost as if they are asking me to pirate their books instead of buying it!

I too have the "runtime error" when trying to connect to webscriptions but no trouble at all connecting to the Baen site.

Perhaps deleting your history and cookies may help you.

Apparently you need something to blame to make it ok to be a thief. If I'm going to steal I'm going to do it straight up and in your face not behind a lame excuse.

Umm, i'm using it to express my frustration at Baen's useless webscription site and the difficulty in trying to purchase a book. I never did condone pirating a book, nor was i using it as an excuse to pirate a book.

In fact if i wasn't trying to purchase the dam book, i wouldn't have cared enough to ask about this problem and how to get rid of it. So please learn to read and think before throwing wild accusations at others.

And no deleting history and cookies does not work.

I routinely use webscriptions and I get the same error (from 3 web browsers). So the site is down.

This isn't usual, although it has happened a few times over the years.

That's definitely a server error. Send them an email and I'm sure they will attend to the problem.

The site was up for a little while. Just long enough for me to buy 6 books. Then it crashed again, just soon enough so I can't download them...

Baen's site just came back up, and I could snag my downloads. Better hurry folks, just in case...

It looks like the had a long overdew redesign of their home page. Not sure what else, I'll have to check back soon.
