Instant messaging on Kindle
Is it possible?
The device and the technology is ideal for that, but I haven't found a way to do it so far. Except for logging on to the full (not mobile) Facebook page and using the embedded chat. The problem with that is it keeps freezing up my Kindle lately (I am not sure if it did this at the beginning). BTW anyone else having this problem with the full FB site (FW 3.0.1)? So is there a way to use preferably gmail chat (gtalk) or maybe msn on Kindle? |

A way-out method would be to give selected friends your kindle email address and then make them trusted on the Manage-Kindle website. They could send "message books" to your kindle which you could read/open like other books. I don't think you can reply in a similar fashion.

You can use GTalk - go to http://m.google.com or http://m.google.co.uk - those pages have links to mobile versions of various Google apps, including GTalk.
There's also http://m.ebuddy.com/ - there you can log into various IM networks using a mobile-optimised web site. I've not used it, but found it from a Google search. |

I dont think, Kindle browser supports advanced features such as javascript etc and/or dynamic content. And chat IS dynamic content. But, yeah, if you can device a way such that you dont receive the next chat until you refresh the page, then it might work. But, then again, how this will be any better than posting on walls, I wonder!
