White Elephant Ebook Exchange

I just made a post about this to Kindle-owning friends on Facebook, but I thought it was such a great idea that I wanted to pitch it here. I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but it seems like such an obvious suggestion for people on this forum.

Here's what I posted to FB: I don't know if this idea appeals to anyone, but now that Amazon has added the ability to give Kindle books as gifts, I thought it might be cool to have some kind of Kindle books white elephant gift exchange among a group of Kindle owners (technically anyone could participate by downloading the Kindle software for their computers and/or smartphones and I would gladly teach people with other brands of e-readers how to strip DRM and convert formats). A site like Random.org could be used to assign people their gift recipients. Wishlists could be used as a guide, but I think it would be more exciting without wishlists and among people who know a little bit about each other. Or a more risky approach: if you don't know the person personally, you could use Facebook profiles as a guide (everyone in the group would have to add each other if we wanted to keep it anonymous until the end). The downside, of course, is that participants would not be able to trade their gifts with each other (at least not without stripping the DRM and sending each other the files).

People on this forum probably want to avoid adding everyone else on Facebook, but so many people here correspond with each other frequently enough, anyway. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
