This has gotten some absolutely horrible reviews. (And to be fair, there have been a larger number of excellent reviews.)

Any MobileRead member read this yet?

It appears to be a very polarizing read regarding its (de)merits.

I haven't, although I've read a number from the publisher (Thomas Nelson). They are a "christian publisher", but publish a large number of purely secular books, which is where this one seems to fit. If there is a religious message later on, even if slight, I have seen that trigger a large number of bad reviews.

I got this when it was free before. Read and enjoyed it. Borrowed book 2 from my local library and enjoyed that also. Recommended the series to a friend who has borrowed them from the library and enjoyed them.
