Talking Greetings from Finland
I new on this forum and hoping to stick around. At the moment, I am looking for an ebook reader to buy and I am thinking to get either Sony PRS 650, 950 or the very big Kindle DX. Actually anything that handles PDF nicely and have SD card slot.

Looking forward to ideas, tips, hints and recommendations. I read lots of history, philosophy, reasoning books, computer-related e.t.c

Btw, looks like I am the only fella from Finland here

hey, welcome to MR. I just ordered a 950 from adorama to Finland, but they sell the 650 in verkkokaupa for about 240 or 250 € if you order a 950 from the US and get lucky and dont have to pay the taxes at the post office for it you end up paying the same ammount for the 950 as you would for the 650 from a local store. the main question you have to consider is a)do you need wifi b) is the extra inch worth it
I personaly didn't consider the DX because of no reflow on pdf-s and it being a bit too big, when the lines of text get too long reading becomes a bit more of a strain.. So the conclusion i made was 950 now, and colour pdf-s and magazines on my macbook for now maybe a ipad later on.. or better yet a colour e-ink in maybe 2 years or so, once the secong or third generations of them start coming out.. and I can be satisfied with what im getting and what i have to pay for it.

Welcome to MR! I like the Sony reader for all ebooks. I recently purchased a Pandigital Novel in White which displays PDF files great! The sony in my opinion displays PDF ebooks ok, but I like to read maps and other things, and have found that the Pandigital Novel is my goto guy for PDF non ebook files.
