Who said this?
"To a novelist, there is no such thing as being brief."
I'm looking for the name of the author or individual who said this quote. I'm told it was Stephen King, but that's not his style. It rings more of Arthur C. Clark, but I'm not sure. Any ideas? |

I haven't heard this before - although I would choose King over Clarke simply because King is less brief.

I wouldn't think Clarke would say it except as a joke. He wasn't really a novel writer after all. Most of his original ones were originally short stories, and his later novels were all ghost written.
