Pricing the way it should be?

I was looking at the new Star Wars Fate of the Jedi novel, Vortex, it came out very recently and is $27 in HC at Barnes and Noble.

The ebook is $6.27, but I see reviews that have it priced at $14 so of course one star review.

Is there a sale going on? Or did at least one publisher catch on? I doubt they caught on, but couldn't find a sale thing anywhere.

I bought the ePub at Kobo, listed at $9.99. Then I used a 25% off discount code found in this thread, which brought it down to $7.49 + tax.

Look in the Deals, Freebies, and Resources forum, there are usually Kobo coupons listed.

Aren't the Star Wars books published by Del Rey/Ballantine which is an imprint of the non-Agency Random House?

If so, then individual outlets are probably free to price it however they like, which could account for the seeming discrepancy.

Maybe it started out high, but then there was a pricedrop.

Ah. Was not aware they weren't Agency 5. Thats a good thing lol. I bought it, if they werepricing like they had, I wouldn't have.

6.29 is a fair price for an ebook, especially a new one.

Wow!!! That's insane, that is what it was before the price drop, I'm surprised Sony didn't follow.
