PRS-950 Amazon 950 for 229 -3 left

I stumbled in and clicked add-to-cart without thinking. 229 seems a no-brainer to me. My apologies if this has been posted.

Ordered at the very last minute -- and it's been shipped. Thanks for the heads-up! I was about to go buy one at BestBuy ($330 plus tax).

. Now that I think about it, I suspect this is a mistake in price tagging. Feels like somebody inadvertently put the price of the 650s on the 950s...

I also ordered one and it has been shipped. Looking at the very bad reviews about Video & Audio Center (not in amazon though) I was a little worried. I send them a mail to clarify whether it is the PRS-950 and not PRS-900 they are offering. They replied saying that it is indeed the PRS-950 they are offering. It will take another month for it to reach me in India through a friend.

The actual vendor is DataVision Computer Video. It looks like they have a good customer rating, so it probably was just a mixup on their end. I hope you guys get the ones you ordered and they don't do like some vendors and cancel the order when they realize their mistake.

DataVision TOTALLY messed up their offering of 950 covers. They repeatedly sent 650 covers instead. There is a long thread about all of this (the title of the thread has "apparently" in it).

I suspect they are making the same mistake with PRS 950s.

I would agree, they repeatedly indicated they had the 950 cover and shipped all of us who ordered the 650 cover. I would put money on getting a 650 from them instead of a 950.

Now I start to worry...I'll ask my sister to take pictures of it and let me check before sending it overseas. Thanks for the info guys! (Suppose they do mess up again, I think I have the right to ask them honor their contract?)

When you check amazon, there are many sellers for SONY PRS-950SC. The seller who offered it for USD 229 is "Video & Audio Center". This is a reply from them when I contacted to find out whether they made a mistake on model numbers.

"Please be informed that PRS950SC is the newer model, and this is the one we are offering."

The link supplied by antistar is to a seller by the name of DataVision Computer Video. Perhaps he gave the wrong link.

It seems to me that when you click on the link it will bring you to the retailer with the lowest price. I know I ordered from Video & Audio Center. Now it shows Vanns selling 950 for $249 (not a bad price, either.)

I've almost pulled a trigger on this deal but I'm still torn between 650 and 950. Glad I didn't. B&H Photo has even better price for the both units now.
