Epub to Mobi Squashed Image...
Using calibre 7.22, I have converted an epub to mobi but on two of the pages that show maps the images have come out "squashed"

Image 1 shows the original epub, the second how it appears once converted.

Any ideas why?

Some will say that’s a clear case of a bubble of evil; I’d say however, that is very likely just a twist in the Pattern.

Sorry, could not resit…

The problem may be on the original epub. Try converting epub to epub on calibre.

I was going to sat that it proves the world is really Flat(ish)..

Sorry (a tiny bit), I know this did not help with your problem..

Do you know the geometry of the original map in Pixels?
It may not scale nice and needs an external size edit help

Fraid not re geometry, its just a page in the book, all other images are fine oddly

Hi,

some days ago I had a problem with images that I converted from epub to mobi.
The problem was the original html code how the image was presented on the page in the epub file.

The original code looked like:

      <image xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" width="78" height="46" xlink:href="../Images/1.png"></image>
With Sigil (https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52493) I changed it to:

The exact thing happened to me when I converted my .epub book to .mobi. And I believe it's the same book (it's Book 1 right? )
