Standby Wallpaper Collection

I came up with the idea, that we could make a collection of "Reader Themed Wallpapers" for the standby-mode of the PRS 350/650.

So if you got a nice wallpaper, share it!

Try this thread: http://www.kindleboards.com/index.ph...,5659.975.html .

I'm presuming the 650 uses 600 x 800 images?

That kenshin image is awesome! I'll be using that, too, cheers.

As per one of my earlier threads, here is another place to find screensavers:

I personally like these that I found elsewhere:

Slightly off topic.

I was wondering if there's anyway to select a particular image from the Reader to show as the standby wallpaper. Currently mine seems to cycle through them, not like a slideshow but everytime it goes to sleep there's a different image.

1) From the Applications screen, select the "Pictures" application by clicking on the title of the app.
2) When the app opens, press the "Options" button.
3) Select "Select Standby Screen"
4) Select each picture you want to rotate through as the standby screen (check mark means it is selected).
5) MOST IMPORTANT: Select "Done" button when finished. This will save your changes.

Not any more than it would use if there was on image present. My understanding is the way e-ink works, it only takes power to redraw the screen, not to display it. So, if the picture doesn't change there is no additional drain on battery life.

A Dumb Question!

When dragging and dropping pictures to your 650 ... where do you "drop" them exactly!

Thanks!

You can drop your image files in the folder:
Database > Media > Images

If you are you using the Reader Library software:
1) you can drop them on the Library icon and then sync/transfer OR
2) you can drop them on your device icon.
I do the latter myself.

I am loving this screen collection feature on the new models. So nice to be able to personalize your ereader. I agree with elemnoP. They make me happy!
