Newstrove.com is kinda cool-

It's a news aggregator site, with a lot of different topics. For example:

The topic pages have links to regular web pages (non-optimized), but have capsule summaries. Nice for scoping out articles you might not have found, and then maybe read on your desktop. But with a link depth of 1, and small or no images, still might be reasonable (haven't tried yet, I mainly access via PDA web browser).

At the bottom, there's a list of related topics. So a link depth of 1 with no off-site links would give you a good source of tech stories, for example.
