Can't check out at Kobo store

I am trying to buy a book at the Kobo store, using a promotional code. It accepts the code and gives me the discount price. Credit card, expiration date and address are entered. When I click Buy Now, it pops up a message "Please use the requested format." Does anyone know what the problem is?

I have a similar problem. For me it ended up being a browser problem. I can only purchase books using Firefox. Chrome and IE don't work. Kobo C.S. was never able to help me with this problem.

Gotta love computers. I can't get Firefox 4 (beta 12) to purchase (it will do everything except the purchase button won't click -- no error message or anything, just doesn't do anything), but Internet Explorer 8.0 works.

I think it's time to upgrade to Firefox 4.0 now that it's not in beta.

I could not complete a purchase using FireFox 4 (the real deal, not a RC) either. I'm not knowledgeable about security issues, but when I purchased the book using IE, I got a warning about a security certificate and I know that this kind of thing can enter into the picture for FF.

I just bought another book--this time successfully. Before I could do that, it asked me to reformat my phone number. It didn't like the xxx-xxx-xxxx format. It wanted the hyphens removed. The book was free (think cheap book, $1 off coupon) so I don't know if I will have a problem if my credit card is needed--just in case I added it in again.

Before fixing the phone number (I scrolled up and saw a message), I had cleared my cookies. I don't know if that was a factor.

I've never had a problem with any browser. Kobo is always eager to get my money lol...


Now the Airmiles website is a disaster for me unless I'm on an older version of Internet Explorer. That's a different story
