Landscape duplicate line problem?

Is this a problem on both the 350 and 650?

Most reports of this problem occur when changing from portrait to landscape so I was wondering if you change font size and force a re-pagination, does the problem persist?

Makes no difference... it's not a problem per se, it's designed to do that but it can be a real nuisance and some people find it really intrusive.

If, in fact, it was designed this way, the designer should be sent into intensive therapy since he or she is not of sound mind.

The old Kindle 2 and current DX Graphite handle PDFs in landscape mode this way too; I learned to just ignore it. I have no idea what the K3 does in landscape mode because I don't have (or want) one.

Maybe I asked an incomplete question.

Does the duplicate line problem afflict the EPUB files as well as PDFs?

Thanks - John

It's not a problem, it's a feature!

It does on the PRS-505.

I happen to like this feature because it lets you look forward or back a few lines without having to flip the page. I find the fading of duplicated lines works well for me. Just ignore the faded lines when reading, and you won't miss anything.

In PRS-600 also it is displayed as faded lines, but is the faded lines displayed as an indicator of duplicate lines? I thought that was a problem with the device because characters are not readable in the faded lines.

The faded lines indicate that the lines are repeated on the next screen.

It is annoying and inconsistent. If you are at a "page break" there will be no duplicated lines but in the middle of a page there are several.

Boo boo boo!!
