convert problem

Hi, i have problem:
I have Iriver ebook reader and many ebooks in PDB format.
I want convert these books in epub and put them to I-river.
BUT the problem is in encoding PDB books.
Books are in Czech language- Central Europe. I read that i have to change encoding but i don't know what insert in "input character encoding" . If I preview some PDB books , they are not openned correctly. Some characters are not right.

or try "Pepak pdb2txt" (google for it)

You may find that one stage of the process of conversion includes embedding a font which includes the Czech letters. I assume Czech has accents over and/or under some of the letters, and the Story only has a limited number of such accents. I think it has all the ones found in French. Don't know about German.
