Make ADE reflow off by default

It seems whenever a new PDf file is opened, the reflow is on by default. Is there a way to make it off by default? I have a PDF file that always crashes ADE. I wonder if it is because of ADE trying to reflow it.

Have you tried going into the menu right as it starts to load the .pdf file?

How does this crashing of ADE come about? What are the sequence of events and
what does this "crash" look like?

I assume you are running the 0.16e firmware, or you would't have PDF reflow as an
issue.

The issue is that ADE is never able to open that pdf file. After it is instructed to open that file, the hourglass shows up. After a little while, JetBook jumps right back from the file manager to the top menu "Books/Pictures/Settings".

I am not sure if the reflow is the actual cause. Right now, I am just speculating.

Yes, I am using 16e firmware. Do we have a version that has ADE but no reflow?

You might try some .pdf files from some other source and see if they also cause the
problem. It could be that there is something about that particular file that is causing
the problem. It could also be related to the file name, try the problem file with a name
that has no special characters in it.

You can also try running the .pdf through an editing or conversion program that can
output .pdf files. Calibre handles .pdf files, but that is not it's best format.

By the way ADE is the name of the DRM scam and the PC software, the program
embedded in the JBL's firmware is the "Adobe Reader Mobile".
