Need Opinions - Have K2, Just Got Nook
Okay, here is my conundrum: I have a Kindle2 and love it dearly. Recently, I had the chance to purchase a nook at half off and I couldn't pass it up. Now I have a brand new, still in box nook. So, do I take the nook out and play with it and compare it to the K2? Do I keep them both? Try to sell the K2 or nook after I've compared? Gift it to my son? Or do I sell the nook unopened, and earn money on it? Or gift it to someone (i.e. my 12 year old son, who would love it)?
What would you do? |

Keep both. One for Amazon and one for ePub. More toys, more better!

Keep them both. That way you have something you can use at the library.

If your son would love it, the answer's clear, unless you're in financial dire straits. Give the chap the reader and let him enjoy the books.

Sounds like your son will be getting one anyway, so either give him the Nook or sell it and get him a K3.
The upside to the Nook is it's ability to check out library books; the Kindle can't do that. The downside is that neither device can read the other device's books. So if your tastes overlap, you'll either have to exchange readers or buy the book twice. Two Kindles can share the same account and thus, all books on that account. Likewise, two Nooks can do the same. PS: don't open it until after B&N makes its big announcement next Tuesday. That might affect your decision. |
