G'day from Oz

Just discovered this site. Ereading is a new hobby, bought a Sony PRS-650 last month - big mistake - I should have bought TWO - one for me and the other for the cheese and kisses!

Looking forward to sharing experiences.

Welcome to MR,

Don't you know that you cannot buy any toys without letting the missus having some too?

Cheers.

I am the cheese and kisses referred to in Derrick Crane's introduction. We're definitely looking out for another PRS-650 - if the price is right. I'm relying on paper library books to tide me over between timeshares of our new eReader and I've just realised how cumbersome these books can be.

Looks like MR is going to be a great read.

PS Derrick has proved to be a good sharer because he shared this excellent site with me!

The cheese and kisses has a far more awesome avatar than the OP. What's up with that, Derrick? How about a bit of Sir Les Patterson?

Cheers,

Welcome to Mobileread, missus.

I say you need your own device. How much fun is it when HE's there reading, and you are there twiddling your thumbs?

You'd actually have to read a (pardon the expression) paper book! They're heavy! You have to physically turn pages, and what if you drop it accidentally? How will you ever find where you were reading?

No.....you must have your own device.

Welcome Derrick! I bought my Nook last week and have already lost it to my 10 yr old daughter. Really, it's on loan as she decides if she would like one for Christmas.

Welcome to your wife, Jeri, too!
