new to calibre

Hi all

new to calibre

When you send a ebook to the nook using calibre is the default folder on the nook the documents folder which calibre uses?

I most of the time get my books from B&N though the nook.

I just copy them from the B&N download folder on the nook to my calibre library which worked.

I download a ebook from B&N website to test out calibre and I send it the nook and the nook could not open it, but I think I know why when you buy from the B&N website it adds the name of the book at the end of the ebook file, but if I buy it using the nook the ebook is numbers.epub. I took out the name of the ebook and copied it to the B&N downloaded folder on the nook and I can now open it odd don't you think.

Calibre and my wireless iPodTouch 3rd gen

I'm having a similar problem and don't know how to solve it. I don't know how to do what you did, Dave.

I'm trying to get Barnes&Nobles eBooks onto my iPodTouch (3rd Gen) without having to use wireless as I'm often in locations in 3rd world countires where no wireless is available. Can I get a book from B&N onto my iPodTouch using Calibre and my USB connection port? Will the DMR on the B&N eBooks prevent me from transferring them into the Nook App this way? Thanks for your help with this.

There is a Barnes and noble iphone ipod touch reader I did try it but it is not really that good. I could download a book to it but it than would not remember that i did that and I would have to downloaded again after I was read it I removed app from my ipod.

As for adding a book to a ipod touch you can't use calibre for this, ipod touch's database is only unprotected with the ipod touch drivers which calibre does not have.

I decided to copy all my books to folder on my PC and I would add the book tile to the file which worked just fine if you do this use _ after each word in the tile, so I know what I got, if you connect to nook to your pc it will be like a hard disk you can open it and you should see a folder called something like "Barnes and noble downloaded content" this is where all the ebook are downloaded to if you are using the nook to buy them. All you will see is numbers not the book name I had to go on my account on the web and match up the numbers of the ebooks to my collection than I renamed them after I copied them to nook ebooks folder. I just selected them all and copied them to a folder on my pc called nook ebooks that I created. than I tested a few of them to see if I could still open and read them I could.

The way to get the numbers is click download write the number of the file down but do not download it than look on your nook and match the numbers than rename it.
I have star wars the fate of the jedi I only using the name of that book like this numbers_outcast.epub
