Thinking of getting Hubby a 650 for his birthday

Hi there,

I have a Kobo ... and while very pleased with it overall ... there are a few advantages to the Sony models that I think my Hubby would appreciate [like the dictionary] ... and I have a few questions myself.

One of the things I find frustrating with the Kobo is that I can't set multiple bookmarks. Indeed ... I can't set a bookmark at all. However, with some books, I like to refer back to, say, a map or a previous section of the book. Does the 650 allow multiple bookmarks?

Hubby doesn't need something that connects to the Internet ... or other stuff. I will probably update my own ereader in the New Year [or Xmas if I'm lucky] ... and I would also like to know about annotation. Does it preserve it as written [ie longhand] or must one print? I often make notes on the books I'm reading ... and for years pen and paper have been just fine for that ... but I'm intrigued by the annotation feature of the Sony.

Thanks for any help.

Mary

My girlfriend bought me a black 650 for my birthday and I love it. It's so much more superior to the Kobo I first bought. You can set multiple bookmarks with the 650.

Thanks yakuzaboss!

I just know that I'm going to be so jealous of the Sony 650 that I get my husband!

Ah well ... I'll just have to come up with really good reasons to replace my Kobo with a (red) Sony 650 in the New Year!

Once you try the 650, you're definitely going to stop using the Kobo. I hated using the Kobo.it was so slow and prone to freezing. The 650 on the other hand is smooth sailing!
