New features and shortcuts for 350 and 650

Here's some of the new things I found in the manual:
1) collections can now be created and managed on the device (yay!).
2) zoom level can be locked so it's not reset when changing pages
3) clock is available by pressing Options key
4) going to previous page (after following a link) is now shorter (Options-Previous View)
5) you can switch the dictionary during look-up, no need to go to Options
6) you can set a picture (or several) or a text message as "standby screen".
7) auto-sleep after 10 minutes, auto-shutdown after two days
8) press and hold Options key to return to the book list
9) press Zoom button (loupe with + inside) and ">" to zoom the page by 10%
10) double-tapping a word in dictionary view will look it up in the same dictionary
11) Reader stores the list of looked up and searched words (Options-Word Logs)
12) double-tap to center and zoom a picture (in zoom mode)

I think the new firmware sounds awesome. The one thing I see missing a 'recently read' book list.

But some old shortcuts from the older models are missing in the new 650 model:

1) The lack of an "Enter" or "Select" button means that you always have to tap the touchscreen to select a menu item, which I find annoying.

2) There's no "prior menu" option. Your only choices are the Home button, or holding the Options button to go back to the Books list. But if I am in a newspaper sub-section, and want to go up just one level, there is no longer a shortcut available like with the old "Menu" button.

If I am wrong, and someone has found shortcuts for these, please let me know!

Yes, I miss the Back button too

There should be an on-screen back button located in the upper left corner. It may not be visible in all screens.

For some reason, I can't get the clock to show up when I press the options button, when I'm reading.

The book list can now be sorted by most recently read.

For your #2 comment, when you are reading either a periodical or a newspaper there is a on-screen button labelled "Section Top" at the bottom of screen.

I do not have a 350 or 650 myself but when you are in the book list, try the physical 'Options' button and there may be a selection to sort by most recently read.

No, you don't use the Options button. IN the main booklist there is a dropdown menu in the upper right corner, that allows you to sort by latest read, author, and several other criteria.
