Firmware 3.3??
Just saw that Calibre's weekly update released today says in the New Features section "Kobo driver: Support firmware version 3.3".

When was this released? I've combed these forums and don't see anything about an official release of this firmware.

The code check-in for this states:

Kobo are about to release firmware 3.3.0. The beta and release candidates have been tested with calibre and the version number is all that needs to changed.
So, no, it has not been released. But, it should be soon. The initial release might happen later today, or maybe next week.

@93Terp: The majority of the Kobo updates have no changes to the underlying database schema or file system layout on the Kobo.

Updates to the calibre driver are normally limited to simply changing the maximum supported DB version, to ensure that people who run calibre without the "Attempt to support newer firmware" option selected in the driver do not see an error message.

As PeterT said, mostly the change is simply a bump to the supported version numbers. I did this today as I know the release is about to happen.
