Some questions about the iPad and book applications

I'm considering buying an iPad to use as an ebook reader. I live in Australia, and thus probably won't have access to the ibooks app. What I want to know is, will any of the other ebook applications allow me to transfer books to the iPad over USB instead of wifi? And are any of the other applications able to use the iPad's text-to-speech (VoiceOver)?

kindle.. kobo reader.. readMe.. there are quite a few reader applications. some will work with USB connected to iTunes, including iBooks (use your own .epub files). none use VoiceOver.. there's quite a few other threads here that discuss the various readers, and speech.. look around.. |

Never mind . Just seen Apple's press release confirming that "iBooks" will be launched internationally along with the iPad itself on 28th May. |
