I am very new at this and just bought the mobile reader and the salesperson suggested this site. Is this a chat site or can you download books from here?

It's both!!! It is an awesome forum AND if you click on ebooks in the blue bar on the top of this page, you can download all kinds of free ebooks. Just make sure it's the right format for the 505 (epub or lrf). You can also download ebooks from your local library, if they have an ebook collection. I've saved a ton of money doing this.

Congratations on your new 505! It's aa great machine! I agree with kelly, I get a ton of books from my local library. I have never been much of a book buyer; I have always been an avid library user. The 505 is perfect for getting library books. Search for your library on this site : http://search.overdrive.com/ and you can go from there.

There are also a lot of free books on this site- check out the links to the free books for the format you want (epub is my favorite).
