Dear Laurens,
would it be difficult to download a simple .pdb or .prc from a known URL? I have two regularly updated .pdb-databases which I download manually many times a week. Sunrise would be perfect for a scheduled download. Any chance this could get implemented? Thanks, emwi |

You can do your own.....
You can do this is a 3 step process yourself:
1)Use wget (http://xoomer.virgilio.it/hherold/) in a batch file to download the file to a location on you hard drive. 2)Use palmclis (http://www.tucows.com/preview/33561%3F_mid=000008320) to install the PDB. Can select card or main memory. A warning is that sending a large file to the card via Palmclis will cause a timeout on hotsync. If you have this problem I have a workaround. I also prefer that palmclis deletes the file on install so if there is an error it is because wget didn't get the new file. 3)Schedule this using the windows task scheduler as a single batch file. The only other alternative is to use the browser on the Palm to dowload the file via wireless when you need to view it. If you enter http://fred/fubar.pdb in the browser URL line then the browser will ask where do you want to save the file. Save to memory and away you go. |
