As above, does kindle 2 use the same USB Cable? anyone knows where I can buy a cheap spare?

It's a standard micro-USB (not mini) cable, so there are many sources.

Nate, as always is the loquacious moderator.

1. No, the K2 uses a micro usb connector, which is some sort of new standard. The K1 uses a mini usb connector.

2. Amazon has a replacement cable and plug adaptor available. If you bought a K2 from them, you have probably gotten about a zillion recommendations to get one. Cell phone stores might have them, as well.
