Plugin to set proxy address to WiFi gateway
I use my Android's hotspot in order to connect to a self hosted Calibre OPDS server, which requires me to use KOReader's proxy function. Since my Android's hotspot ip address changes each time I enable it, it would be very useful if KOReader could set the proxy IP based on the WiFi connection default gateway.
Does anyone know where would I need to start looking at in order to write a plugin or user patch that does this? Best regards, |

In order to make it clearer, I access the OPDS server from KOReader running on a Kindle/Kobo, through my Android Smartphone's hotspot connection.

If you mean http proxy, look at https://github.com/koreader/koreader...nager.lua#L627
Unfortunately there's no way to retrieve the gateway ip. You'll need some platform dependant code in your patch. On plain linux you can parse /proc/net/route or use ip or route tools. I don't know much about the kindle. |
