Kindle Periodical Structure
I have been subscribing to a number of Science Fiction Periodicals for decades. When the original ebook publisher was bought by Amazon, I used that instead. Amazon now dropped periodicals except for their Unlimited and I will subscribe directly from the publisher.
If you have not subscribed to periodicals, they saw up as nicely organized Stacks by subscription internally ordered by date. 1. Importing the nicely sorted series of a Magazine has always been an issue since the organization is lost. Is there a better way? 2. Right now each magazine issue purchased directly shows up like an individual book. Is there a way to meta-tag prior to transfer to keep the original periodical Stacks on Kindle? -- Harald |

the periodical structure requires special markup in the generated MOBI files. calibre produces this when using the fetch news feature, but there is no way to add it to an existing file or produce it during a general conversion
