Which version for Mac Yosemite? High Sierra
Just starting with ebooks.

My home machines run Yosemite and High Sierra.

The calibre page is not very clear as to which versions will work on which mac systems.

Which versions will work on uptodate Yosemite and High Sierra?

It's pretty clear? Straight from the Calibre Mac download page:

If you are using macOS older than 10.14 (Mojave), the last version of calibre that will work on your machine is 3.48, available here.
High Sierra is 10.13 so use 3.48. And Yosemite is 10.10 so also use 3.48.
