Inspect ePub on KOReader
![]() Hi, I need to inspect the DOM of some epubs since there are issues in viewing them within KOReader which I cannot reproduce in other viewers that have an inspector (specifically, calibre viewer). Is it possible? (I'm using KOReader in Kobo Aura One) Cheers |

Another alternative is to use ScrambleEbook to share it (while of course being a little more specific about what kinds of issues; it might not even be necessary to share anything at all in that case
).

The best way to understand and demonstrate a problem is to write a minimal testcase.
Code:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<title>issue</title>
<style>
#issue {
color: green;
}
</style>
</head>
<body>
<p id="issue">This demonstrates the issue. It should be green but it's red!</p>
</body>
</html>

Well, there is some misunderstanding...I was only looking for a tool to inspect the DOM generated by CREngine in KOReader. And it doesn't exist.
Of course, whenever I submit an issue, I write a test case to help developers to understand what is happening, but this is another matter. Anyway, thanks for your help! |

What do you mean by doesn't exist? As @hius07 said, highlight the text and select "view HTML" to see the DOM as interpreted by crengine.

but it's not a DOM inspector. It shows you a "static" view of HTML and CSS files. A DOM inspector shows you for each node which styles are applied,from which rule, what are their computed values, etc.
