Troubleshooting Oasis 2019 power button issues

The power button on my 2019 Oasis isn't working. I have had it 3 1/2 months, no drops, no issues but out of no where the button isn't working.

The only thing I've done differently is manually update to 5.13.3
I can't imagine that would have an effect but it's the only thing I can think of.

I called Amazon, they sent me a replacement but it as dented corners and scratches on the back. If there's no way to get a mint condition one (like mine that has been living in a case since day 1) then I'd rather try to find a fix for it or live with it.

Any suggestions?

EDIT: I have called about the replacement kindle, and am waiting for a reply

You got a second hand one back? Ouch!!
I sent mine back (but it was only a week or two old) due to battery issues and they replaced it with a brand new unit.

It's a long shot, but have you tried doing a factory restore?

I have done a factory reset a couple times... So now I'm just waiting to hear back from Amazon customer support on how to send back the ugly replacement and the original ...

I keep hoping I'll wake up and it will have fixed itself lol ... So far that hasn't worked either
