Gutenberg URL broken on import

I don't know if there's an issue with the Project Gutenberg metadata or if there's an issue with the Calibre import, but when I import a PG epub, the url identifier renders as uri:http: or url:http|...

I have to go through each url and manually fix it, which is not a trivial task. There doesn't seem to be a way to edit identifiers like you can in other metadata fields in the side bar, and search and replace seems to blank the whole url (unless I'm doing it wrong which is likely).

Any ideas? I'm using 3.48 on Mac OS Mojave (I'm holding off on updating to Catalina).

The current release fo calibre works fine on Mojave, I suggest you update to that first and see if your problem is still present.

I just grabbed a book from the PG front page. The OPF has:

Code:
<dc:identifier opf:scheme="URI" id="id">http://www.gutenberg.org/63130</dc:identifier>
Which calibre will use to create the identifier:

Code:
uri:http://www.gutenberg.org/63130
Which expected and is correct.

From memory, older versions of calibre replaced the colon in URI and URL identifiers with the vertical bar. The current version will handle this, but, doesn't change it to a colon.

So, as I understand it, there is nothing wrong. It is working as designed.

My mistake: I have High Sierra on the MacBook. It got rolled back from an upgrade to Mojave when I found too much was broken. The new iMac is Catalina, but because of needing an older version of ADE and Kindle, I'll be using the MacBook for ebook management. (Besides, the MacBook is in the sitting room and the iMac is in the converted garage which is rather chilly in the winter. I'm so not looking forward to the colder weather as I'm currently working from home until January at the earliest.)

Okay, so is there a difference between uri and url? And can I get it to display correctly in a custom column which currently displays URLs?

EDIT: Yes, I can. Saves me a headache.
