Can't open converted docx
Hi, I attach an xhtml file (renamed to .txt) that converts ok to docx. However, the docx (also attached) can't be opened in word.

There will be something in there that word doesn't like. Sadly word gives us no useful eror message so impossible to say what. You can try deleting sections of the html file and see if you can narrow it down.

When I took a look at the xhtml file by opening it in Word, there were complaints about XML elements that are no longer supported in Word. A conversion to RTF gave a file that could be opened in Word but quite a bit of the layout vanished.

Thanks, do you know by any chance which xhtml-elements that are not supported by docx, so we can avoid using those in our mark-up :-)

xhtml elements are notused in docx, they get converted to docx elements. The question is what of those elements word does not like, and the only way to find that out is to repeatedly remove things from the problem file till you narrow down the markup causing the issue.
