				Why No Color Scheme?

Is there a way to change the scheme or colors for Sigil? Staring at a white screen for hours each day probably isn't good.

Check out Preferences. Not exactly a "theme" but you can get close. Dark mode is OS dependent, but I think they are working on making that happen better for a future release,

FWIW, Official support for system level Dark mode on macOS and Windows are already in Sigil master. Picking up a dark theme under Linux should also work. These changes will be in the next release.

The colors that are important to me are certainly there in Code View. Paragraph and other tags are blue, classes are green, named entities are red. They're rather subdued, it's true, compared to Notepad++ or Notetab, but they're there. And Bad Html is bright red on the Preview screen!

It's true that a white screen gets tiresome after awhile, but the same is true of Word or OpenOffice or Thunderbird -- virtually any Windows software. (Another reason I prefer WordStar for the hard work of writing the book.) |
