Schoolwide Deployment of palmOne Handhelds

Avery Coonley School may be nearly 100 years old,
but when it comes to endowing its teachers and students
with handheld technology for the classroom, this private,
independent school in Downers Grove, Ill., is one of the most
forward-looking schools in the state.

My Dad's a teacher and his school decided to provide PDAs to every kid. The experiment worked well - almost. They made the mistake of getting 1/2 Palm and 1/2 WinCE (they didn't know which PDA type to use). After the year was up, the found out (like everyone knows) that WinCE devices stink and are more expensive to maintain. So they were going to sell the WinCE devices and buy Palms for the students.
