Hello from Waterloo, Canada

Hi, I'm a new Sony E-Book user. I also work in publishing of academic books and we purchased the unit to get a sense of how people were reading e-books. If I could afford to I'd buy all the different types and compare, but in the meantime I'm getting to know the Sony.

Come on in and take a look around! I'm sure you'll find plenty of research fodder here.

Buy all the different types of readers? Ah, such a lovely dream! To have and to hold all of those gadgets for better or worse, richer or poorer....definitely poorer after paying for all of them.

Hi neighbour!

Welcome aboard, or is that to the board!

You will note that my member name (nrapallo) resembles the logon name given to freshmen at U of W! I note your logon name is eerily similar; you a graduate of U of W (or Wilfrid Laurier), by chance?

Hi CHitchens and welcome to the Forum.

Tell your boss to fund giving us all the eBook readers and we''l use them all and tell how it's going and....shoot, I didn't think you'd fall for that one. Nice dream though.

I like that plan, Cassidy! With all of the analytical people here, I think the population of MR would make a fabulous focus group.

Thanks

Thanks everyone for the welcome and I'll do my best to convince my boss, but I was pretty surprised he sprang for this one.

Someone asked if I was from UW or Laurier. I work for the press at Laurier.
