Here is a phone that docks into a tablet. The phone is 4.5" while the tablet is 7" It runs Android 4.4. The tablet is only a display device so whatever is on the phone is on the tablet.

There is a wiki page for the PadFone X mini

Unfortunately, it looks like yet another device only available at AT&T. I'd go back to a flip phone before I would sign up for AT&T's non-service.

This is one solution... I still want to see a Ubuntu tablet that transitions into a desktop/laptop PC though.
