stock-endactions ????

Hi there,
calibre 0.9.37 on Mac OS ML and a Kindle PW here.

I have a "stock-endactions-20130306021651" book, flagged as "personal" appearing amongst my "real" books.

Selecting it does not open it.

What is it and how can I get rid of it ?

Of course cannot see it in Calibre's book list.

Sorry forgot to mention :-)
I see this "pseudo book" in the Kindle pages amongst all of my "real" book covers (if this is of any usefulness it's on page 2 of the books list in cover mode.

This is not a book, but a software component (specifically, this particular one contains the stuff that allows to "share" that you finished reading a book). It should normally reside in the system/acw folder, not in the documents one - and in any case, it shouldn't show up as a book.

So: try deleting it. If you can't on the Kindle, try from the PC (but only if you find it inside the documents/ folder or a subfolder thereof).

The "pseudo book" cannot be deleted from the Kindle like "normal" books :-( Nothing happens when I press the title for some time.

The directory you mention is:

I could not find anything in the Documents subdir related to it.

Try putting the Kindle in airplane mode, deleting the entire acw folder, then rebooting your Kindle.

Nothing tragic should happen, and the files there should be populated again the next time the Kindle connects to Amazon (see the timestamps in the files? From all that I know, they're sort of "mini-updates" of some functionality, which can be updated independently from the base OS).

If none of that helps, I guess your only option is a factory reset.

PS: That http___kindle.amazon.com_ns_widgets_EndActions_3.0 .2-endactions-et-3-20130625161444.acx file sure looks odd... maybe try deleting only that one first.
