Error while syncing
Figured it outDoes anybody know what this could be:
calibre, version 0.9.7 ERROR: Error: Error communicating with device database or disk is full Traceback (most recent call last): File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\device.py", line 85, in run File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\device.py", line 500, in _sync_booklists File "site-packages\calibre\devices\kobo\driver.py", line 874, in sync_booklists File "site-packages\calibre\devices\kobo\driver.py", line 1899, in update_device_database_collections File "site-packages\calibre\devices\kobo\driver.py", line 736, in reset_favouritesindex OperationalError: database or disk is full I'm sending the files to SD card on Kobo Glo, which certainly isn't full. Earlier batches of 50 books went smoothly, this is the last batch. The books are on the card, it's just that the database doesn't get wrtitten. Edit: Never mind. Device is full means really full. Even a few bytes for the database don't fit. Last edited by bartveld; 11-28-2012 at 02:26 PM. Reason: Figured it out |

Just to check, what options for the driver did you have checked? I assume the create shelves, anything else?

Yes, Create Shelves. But it's already resolved by simply syncing everything to the SD card.
The Kobo has less free space than the Kindle Touch; I could put the exact same number of books on the internal memory of the Kindle. But hey, the Kindle doesn't have a card slot, so I would have run into problems with it sooner or later. |

OK, I just wanted to check there was a reason the database was being written to. Without that option, it shouldn't get updated when sending books. The cover upload options will also take space as all covers are written to the main memory. The current firmware doesn't store cover images for books on the SD card, so that won't matter when you are using the device.
