Nothing says the SD slot had to be visible The slot on my current phone is hidden completely unless you remove the back.

Nonsense. Nothing prevents you from keeping the SD card under the battery cover, like on the S3 for instance. This is just marketing talk, this "would defile" is pure BS.

We call that "a bullsh!t explanation to avoid stating the real reason". As noted above, who says the SD card slot has to be on the outside of the phone? And even if it is, I'm assuming there's also a hole in the outside for the headphones, and another for the charger, right? I guess those two openings don't "defile" it?

And I've used the hell out of the supplemental storage on every device I've ever owned except my iPhone and iPad...oh, yeah; those don't have supplemental storage. Especially if this beast has a 12mp camera.

I don't have any issue with companies not putting SD card slots in their device; that's their business decision. Just don't try to convince me that I'm wrong for wanting one, or offer some reason that is utter crap. I'd respect them a lot more if they said, "We decided against an SD slot; deal with it."

Eventually, won't they just beam the calls right into my brain from the cell provider's headquarters? I won't need a handset at all.

And, regardless of whether or not they will be there in two years, they are both currently there, so his explanation is still crap. In two years maybe that will be a valid explanation.

On the Nook the Sd Card was in the back. You had to remove the cover to get to it!

Also if you try to change the lock screen image to something that doesn't have that pretty teal in it, it gets rejected. So you don't defile the design.

Some form of wireless charging would be cool.. but not limiting headsets to bluetooth. There will always be some who want the physical connection.
