Just finished Burwell's Prairie Hill
A very pleasant surprise. This book was recommended to me. I didn't expect much when I picked it up, but this guy can write, and beautifully.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006UVQ1UQ/ I'm an old lady, and if I don't like a book within the first couple chapters (and if the writing isn't great) I set it aside and don't read the rest. This book engaged me from the get go and I read it quickly. Small midwestern town, endless drama. |
