How to use the file name to modify the metadata ?
OS: win xp
My ebooks (epub, pdf, txt, etc) are already named following this pattern: LastName, FirstName - Title.Extension - I wish to have calibre read the metadata from the file, while keeping my original file name. I don't mind if extra characters (like '- ') are added to the file name, I know how to get rid of them. - I also wish to modify the author and title info in the metadata to conform to the info contained in the file name. How do I do that for many books at a time ? Last edited by sinusLog; 10-08-2011 at 06:24 PM. |

Moderator Notice Moved to Library Management. This is not a conversion topic Read this Sticky at the top of this forum https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=119175 about file names. To bring in your Author Title, adjust the REGEX in preferences: adding Books (there is a test button to see if you got it right) |
