Backlight on pocket Edge

I have read somewhere it is possible to download an app to have backlight on the reader (want to read in the bed without using an external light). Somebody knows if this is true, if yes where i can find it?

No backlighting of the eInk screen is possible. What others have/are doing is to either increase the LCD lighting through the widget or obtaining an app that does the same thing which then increases ambient lighting.

As Gunner says it is physically impossible to have a backlight on an e-ink screen - how do you shine a light through a piece of metal?

You could do what I do, that is use a reader (in my case CoolReader) on the LCD screen for reading at night with the lights out.

As others here suggested back in May I just fold the LCD side over a bit so it shines on the eink side. =)
