Feature to have on eDGe 2.0 ir is it 3.0?
I would like to have a feature on the next edition of the eDGe. The eDGe now is great, but it would be nice to have the e-reader side detach so that if you are just going to be reading a book, then it wouldn't be as bulky.

A fantastic idea, i've thought the same thing.
Of course it would be necessary to add some functions to the e-reader side, at now it is totally dependent from the android gui for selecting books. But the biggest problem for me is that the e-reader side is only a peripheral: running android on the cpu consume a lot of power, if the e-ink could have some logic to change pages on a given file by itself (like dedicated e-readers do) it would be possible to reach a very high battery life. For example, with the actual device when power is too low, both sides shut off, if the e-ink side was a complete e-reader it could possibily "survive" for a lot of page-turnings after the power to use android os was depleted. |
