Sony and PDFs

Is Sony's PDF support as good as K3 or better? What about its MS Word support?

K3 for example will allow you to highlight and add notes to PDF files that are just a bunch of images.

Thanks!

I think it's generally agreed upon that Sony Readers handle PDF's much better than Kindles. You can highlight and add notes to PDF's on the readers and they also format much better.

Reflow also works way better on Sony PRS-x50 than on Kindle.

Multi-column PDFs are better on Sony too. On the Kindle you have to zoom and pan. On the Sony there is a multi-quadrant view option to move around the page easier.

I believe the dictionary works on text based PDFs with the Sony.

Does anyone know if the Kindle dictionary will work on PDFs?

Yes, you can use dictionary lookup on PDFs with the Kindle 3. I think perhaps you could not on older models, and I don't know if it was addressed by firmware updates. I have the K3 so I am not that familiar with the other models.
