Should i get a new reader?

Currently i use the sony prs600 and iphone to read all my ebooks. Frankly my sony has been collecting dust because i find the iphone more convenient to carry around and i can read under low lighting conditions. But lately i am experiencing eye strain whenever i read on my iphone so i am considering if i should get another ereader. The sony reader doesn't cut it on my frequent reading positions. And I'd gotten so used to wifi transfer of ebooks on my iphone so wifi is a must...

I'd been looking around and i am interested in the K3 for its price ,wifi and quality of screen. My main grouse with the former kindle is that i need a hack to read chinese files. Does K3 support chinese txt now? I have a lot of chinese epub and text files. I know i can use calibre to convert but do i have to ensure they are saved as utf-8, unicode or ansi?

I'm also a little worried about converting my collection of epubs books to kindle format. Will there be any conversion problems like loss of formatting, addition of blank lines or pages etc?

I've converted some epubs to mobi using calibre, and they looked perfect on my friend's new Kindle. Working links, page breaks correct, covers look good - everything.

The K3 does support Chinese characters now although some folks have commented that there are problems with the way the language appears. I am lame and speak only English so I cannot tell you if this is a real problem or not.

That said, if it is a problem there are hacks to fix it, at least I have seen people posting about hacks to fix the language problems.
