Sumatra PDF free Adobe Reader replacement for Windows

Sick of the bloat in Adobe Reader? Sumatra PDF is a new alternative open-source viewer for PDF documents. It doesn't require an installer, has no bloat, and renders pages quite fast blindingly fast even with complex PDF structures. Click here to download the most current version of Sumatra PDF. Alternatively, you may want to try Foxit PDF Reader, which is more feature-rich than Sumatra PDF, yet lighter than Adobe Reader, and also free as in beer. [via Neowin.net] |

Not bad. The PDF files which foxit reader 2.0 can open are rendered properly "without" the MuPDF engine. It cannot render PDFs with nonembedded Japanese fonts and newer version of PDF "with" the MuPDF engine. Internal hyperlinks do not work. The fonts of traditional Chinese is not rendered well, but it maybe is the inherent problem of xpdf for traditional Chinese fonts. It is just version "Beta 0.5" and is potential to be a simple, fast, and nice PDF reader. Last edited by segatang; 03-07-2007 at 12:06 AM. |

				How does it print?

I was using Foxit for a while, but when I tried printing PDFs from it, it produced really lousy results. I went back to Adobe Reader, reluctantly.
